The AWA (Arkansas Wrestling Association) held a show in Magnolia, Arkansas, this past Saturday (June 3) in which superstars from the TPWA appeared. The arena was PACKED with enthusiastic fans who let the wrestlers know how they felt. The first two matches featured AWA stars, then the TPWA took over and stole the show.
Everyone’s favorite hyphenated hero SB-1 took on the dastardly “BUTCH” BRANDON FREEMAN. The match began with BUTCH overpowering SB-1 until SB-1 showed his speed and intellect to chop the bigger opponent down. It didn’t take long, however, for the larger man to take control as BUTCH mercilessly pummeled the midsection of SB-1. After hitting a 180-spinebuster and a sidewalk slam, it looked like it was over for SB-1. BUTCH went to finish him off with a powerbomb, but SB-1 took control atop the man’s shoulders and began an assault of punches that eventually sent them both crashing to the mat. But the comeback was short-lived as BUTCH recovered quickly and got back in control.
Indeed, it appeared as though SB-1 was finished. Even after a lightning-fast tornado-DDT from SB-1, BUTCH still had enough bearing to catch the smaller man with a DEVASTATING spear. In an ironic twist that would spell his own doom, BUTCH arrogantly picked up SB-1’s shoulders before the referee could count to three. It was time for the powerbomb, he roared. But SB-1 looked dead as he dropped lifelessly to the mat after getting set-up for the lethal move. Smiling, BUTCH BRANDON decided to take his time and pick up his opponent again. Out of nowhere, SB-1 cinched him in with a small package and got the 1-2-3!
Furious and defeated, BUTCH viciously attacked SB-1 outside the ring and smashed him into the ringpost. Slowly SB-1 made it to his feet. He was hurt and bruised, but victorious nonetheless.
