SB-1 on the Best Week Ever

The Punk is Champ!Straight from the hyphenated hero himself, here is his thoughts on the past week.

This week has been an incredible one for yours truly. In case you haven’t heard, I got engaged last Saturday. Yep, I called Monica (g/f of the past 7 years, off and on) into the ring after I beat Donny Davenport to become the first ever TPWA Cruiserweight Champion and proposed to her.

By the way, you can watch that match and proposal in their entirety on my MySpace profile.

It was a very surreal moment for me, and as I stood there holding her, I realized that it was the greatest moment of my life. After all the bullshit: basic training, Germany, Kuwait, Iraq, Fort Hood, Iraq again, I finally know it was all worth it.

After persevering through all that with one goal in mind (wrestling), I finally got to see all my dreams come true. If it was all taken away from me tomorrow, and for some reason I had to quit wrestling, I could do it and be content. That’s an amazing feeling! Quite a progression since last January, when on IndyWarz.com I was branded “worst opening match heel EVER” from my match with Tarantula in Paris, Texas.

I want to thank all of you who’ve supported me over the years, through the good and the bad. There were nights in Iraq when I wondered if I’d ever even see Texas again, and dreams of two things got me through it: Monica and wrestling. To those of you who never stopped believing in me: THANK YOU.

And to everybody who’s congratulated us on our engagement, thank you. It means so much to Monica and I, and she thanks you as well.

The punk is here… to stay.

The Best There Is?

SB-1 Engaged, TPWA Cruiserweight Champ

During SB-1’s one year anniversary as a professional wrestler, a few special things took place. The match details will be coming soon enough from SB-1 but I just have to share some special news with you all. After the match SB-1 did not only become the first ever TPWA Cruiserweight Champion but he also became engaged to his longtime girlfriend Monica. Here are a few pictures from the event.

One Year of Pro Wrestling

SB-1 - Artwork 3Here is a direct message from the hyphenated hero himself SB-1 for all of you.

As you all may or may not know, the TPWA show next Saturday (Nov 11) will be my one-year anniversary show. It’s been a wild year; the most personally fulfilling year ever for me. Between school and wrestling, I’ve managed to to stay insanely busy and happy.

Last night I had a great match at PCW. It was Luke Bronson, Kris Katera, and me against Jiggle-o James Johnson, Mitch Carter, and Dave Dunnings. It was one of those nights that just made me feel good. Period. I have so much respect for Jiggle-o. Debuting in PCW last month was a little awkward: I only knew a few guys there, and as anyone in the wrestling business knows, newcomers aren’t always welcome. But Jiggle-o’s been nothing but cool with me, and so far we’ve had two awesome matches. I feel like a better worker after working with him, and that’s not something I can say about all my opponents. Thanks, man.

On to the future! Next Saturday, I get to work with Donny Davenport, and I’ve been waiting on this one for a while. It’s gonna be a HUGE show for SB-1, and I hope everyone within a reasonable vacinity of Garland shows up for it.

In other news, I watched BORAT last night. What a stupid fucking movie!! In all fairness, I did laugh my ass off. Northpark’s AMC was sold out for the 11:30 show!! Is it really that serious?? What a sad state of affairs for humanity…

Mitch Keeler © 2007 - SB-1 is a bad bad man, and you don't want to mess with this hyphenated hero. All "Punk Outs" are well deserving and SB-1 does not promise a healthy or full career after going through the devastating maneuver.
