The Best There Is?

dscf3739.jpgThe match started with Davenport jaw-jacking about SB-1 and his girlfriend in the crowd. Davenport told him to “take his girlfriend and go back to Hot Topic”, then turned around and gave him a 5-count opportunity to leave unscathed.

On the count of two, SB-1 swung him around and nailed him with a slap that echoed through the arena. The referee pushed him off in order for the bellringer to officially start the match. An angry SB-1 went to get Davenport, but the Miami native caught him with a thumb to the eye. Blinded, SB-1 then got nailed with a kick to the midsection and a vicious chop across the chest. Davenport proceeded to shoot him off and nail him with his trademark flying back elbow. Donny made the mistake of praising himself to the crowd, and allowed SB-1 the opportunity to kip-up.

Frustrated, Davenport charged towards the corner SB-1 was in, but the hyphenated hero side-stepped him, waited for him to bounce out, and landed a picture-perfect spinning heel kick. Seemingly unfazed, Davenport regained his senses enough to get up and reverse SB-1′s Irish whip, but he made a crucial error by dropping his head for a back-body drop. SB-1 took advantage of the situation and planted him with his trademark Tornado DDT. SB-1 sensed victory as he set his opponent up for the Sharpshooter, paying homage to his childhood hero: Bret Hart. Davenport tried to break free, but ended up submitting.

In the first post-match shocker, Miss Laura (the ring announcer) presented SB-1 with the Southwest Cruiserweight Championship belt, and announced him as the FIRST EVER TPWA Cruiserweight Champion! Outraged, Donny Davenport yelled his objections, but nevertheless returned to the back.

Still not quite through, SB-1 called for the microphone and thanked the fans for coming. He said that it was a special night not only because it was his one-year wrestling anniversary, but also because his girlfriend of the past 7 years (Monica) was in the crowd. He called Monica into the ring, and before she knew what was happening he was on one knee proposing to her! Shocked and ecstatic, she squealed “Yes!” into the microphone and the two embraced to a standing ovation from the Garland crowd.

Mitch Keeler © 2007 - SB-1 is a bad bad man, and you don't want to mess with this hyphenated hero. All "Punk Outs" are well deserving and SB-1 does not promise a healthy or full career after going through the devastating maneuver.
