dscf3739.jpgThe match started with Davenport jaw-jacking about SB-1 and his girlfriend in the crowd. Davenport told him to “take his girlfriend and go back to Hot Topic”, then turned around and gave him a 5-count opportunity to leave unscathed. Read the rest of this entry »

One Year of Pro Wrestling

SB-1 - Artwork 3Here is a direct message from the hyphenated hero himself SB-1 for all of you.

As you all may or may not know, the TPWA show next Saturday (Nov 11) will be my one-year anniversary show. It’s been a wild year; the most personally fulfilling year ever for me. Between school and wrestling, I’ve managed to to stay insanely busy and happy.

Last night I had a great match at PCW. It was Luke Bronson, Kris Katera, and me against Jiggle-o James Johnson, Mitch Carter, and Dave Dunnings. It was one of those nights that just made me feel good. Period. I have so much respect for Jiggle-o. Debuting in PCW last month was a little awkward: I only knew a few guys there, and as anyone in the wrestling business knows, newcomers aren’t always welcome. But Jiggle-o’s been nothing but cool with me, and so far we’ve had two awesome matches. I feel like a better worker after working with him, and that’s not something I can say about all my opponents. Thanks, man.

On to the future! Next Saturday, I get to work with Donny Davenport, and I’ve been waiting on this one for a while. It’s gonna be a HUGE show for SB-1, and I hope everyone within a reasonable vacinity of Garland shows up for it.

In other news, I watched BORAT last night. What a stupid fucking movie!! In all fairness, I did laugh my ass off. Northpark’s AMC was sold out for the 11:30 show!! Is it really that serious?? What a sad state of affairs for humanity…

Another Wrestling Blog Post

13.jpgSB-1 is starting to get good at this whole blogging thing…

To all my loyal followers (and completely indifferent fans alike)…

In case you’re wondering how my career’s been since the last (anxious) blog, I’m much more content. Just as I suspected, my second chance at PCW Uncut this past Friday went very well. I got to work with Tarantula, as our storied history thickens (he’s won two of the three matches we’ve had since January). I miss working with that crazy arachnid; he’s so fucking talented. Then I got to work with Mr. Wrestling III in Arkansas on Saturday, which was an honor.

So what’s next for everyone’s favorite hyphenated hero? Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (oh my!) in Oklahoma over Halloween weekend. I’m looking forward to teaming with Greg Symonds, and hopefully we can bring home the NWA Universal Tag Team Titles. (Come get some, Mass Destruction!)

For now, I’m heading to watch the Insane Clown Posse in Ft. Worth tonight. Much clown love!

There’s only one. SB-1.

The Eccentric Enigma Updates and News

17 rock star.jpgLast weekend in Magnolia, Arkansas at the Columbia County Fairgrounds the eccentric enigma known as SB-1 took on Charlie King one on one. Sporting some new tights (pictures coming soon), SB-1 didn’t get the win but he did make his point. After the match was said and done, our hyphenated hero wrapped King’s legs around the ring post and into a figure four leglock.

As far as upcoming dates go, here are a few to mark on your calender to see SB-1 in action:

Saturday, Aug 5: Mineral Wells
Saturday, Aug 12: Bowie, TX

SB-1′s Weekend Wrestling Update

TPWA Malakoff 3The first match SB-1 had this weekend was on June 9, against Tarantula. The two men went at it in Hurst, Texas at the Matrix Teen Club for Acts Wrestling Alliance.

The match started off heated as the two cruiserweights were chest to chest talking trash. SB-1′s shove was met by one from Tarantula, and then it was on. Tarantula got the upper hand first with a barrage of dropkicks, spin-kicks, and armdrags. Soon after, in an attempt to backdrop SB-1, Tarantula got pummeled with the Tornado DDT. From there it was your hyphenated hero on top, working the arm of Tarantula. Things got dirty as SB-1 tied the man’s arm up in the ropes and tested the referee’s patience. At one point, he tied Tarantula’s arm up in the second rope and nailed it with a Mexican dropkick. Read the rest of this entry »

SB-1 Rocks Arkansas

SB-1 - Artwork 3The AWA (Arkansas Wrestling Association) held a show in Magnolia, Arkansas, this past Saturday (June 3) in which superstars from the TPWA appeared. The arena was PACKED with enthusiastic fans who let the wrestlers know how they felt. The first two matches featured AWA stars, then the TPWA took over and stole the show. Mitch Keeler © 2007 - SB-1 is a bad bad man, and you don't want to mess with this hyphenated hero. All "Punk Outs" are well deserving and SB-1 does not promise a healthy or full career after going through the devastating maneuver.
